Traditional Holland Cruise Break

On the traditional tour of Holland you will see everything you associate with the Dutch – windmills, cheese and clogs. The ferry will dock in Amsterdam in plenty of time to board the 10am coach to the Open Air Museum in Zaanse Schans where visitors can see inside a fully functioning windmill and browse the craftsman’s workshop.

From Zaanse Schaan it’s on to a traditional cheese farm to learn how the Dutch have made their famous cheeses for years before spending lunch in the quaint fishing port of Volendam. Your whistle-stop tour has just enough time for you to collect souvenirs in Edam, home of the famous cheese, before being whisked back to the ferry for your overnight return to the UK.

The traditional Holland mini cruise departs on the 4th September from North Shields at 5pm and arrives in Amsterdam at 9.30am local time the following morning. The coach leaves for Zaanse Schaan at 10am, before taking in a cheese making factory and arriving in Volendam at 12.45. After a couple of hours in Volendam and a brief stop in Edam the coach leaves for Amsterdam at 4.30pm for your overnight trip back to the UK. Arrive in North Shields at 9.30am.
