Upon arrival in Esbjerg the following day, you will be transferred by island ferry to the beautiful island of Fanø. Renowned for its beautiful beaches, raking sand dunes and breathtaking scenery, Fanø is universally important for migrating birds, with over a 100 species feeding here before continuing on their journey. In 2009, visitors witnessed an astonishing 50,000 migrating birds in a single day.

Also on the agenda is an unforgettable visit to Denmark’s largest seal colony together with a look at some traditional Scandinavian villages. Guests are advised to bring with them a pair of walking boots and a pair of Wellington boots together with binoculars and a camera.

The three night Miracle of Migration visit of Fanø leaves Harwich at 17.45pm and arrives in Esbjerg  at 1.00pm the following afternoon. A ten minute island ferry ride will take you for a half-day visit to Fanø for a spot of wildlife watching. You will return to the DFDS ferry docked in Esbjerg at 7.00pm for dinner, entertainment and an overnight stay in the port. An early start the following morning takes you for a full day in Fanø at 7.30am and brings you back to Esbjerg in time to depart for Harwich at 18.45pm.
